I will never get COVID because I distance, cover, wash and build my immune system ie get enough sleep and have no underlying issues. And of course follow protocol such as avoid all necessary travel. Hi again Joe. I don't want to be a pain but I believe I should be on your podcast. This is how I think it should go. We open with the usual pleasantries. I introduce myself as a working class man from Birmingham ( UK ). I also comment on the fact that I have done nothing of note with my life. I then briefly describe what type of person I have been what conclusions I have come to and how my perception of how the world really works has changed. Then we start discussing the reason for my inclusion on the podcast. It will not be pleasant , you might need a few of your best jokes to lighten the ambience. What we painfully learning in democratic societies with covid restrictions is that Draconianism doesn't work because people are different. Curfews force us to biorhythms of homogeneity and strain our functionality. Lockdowns require everyone to have a comfortable home. Etc. We have to accept that Draconianism can never work. Calling it "solidarity" is still draconism. The crisis has shown us that if you are not a communist fascist society, draconian law will not work. People are different. If we act against it in the pursuit of homogeneity and solidarity, we only suppress and confuse people in crisis. All Draconianism and strict laws do is to elucidate and exacerbate inequality, leave minorities and people below the poverty line in great danger, and empower people with resources and prosperity. What remains is the need to make peace with chaos, human disorder, death, disruption and instead of building walls and controls to protect us and stay away from the reality of an uncertain life full of dangers and complications, fully accept and make peace with this reality that will always exist, no matter how much we think we can outsmart it.
