My Dad took high amounts of Vitamin D, his blood level was 91, and he got kidney stones. He was in severe pain and had to go to the hospital $$$. The FDA max daily dose is 4,000 IU, but he took more than that. I take 3,000 IU per day and my Vit D blood level is 40-50, higher in the summer. I’ve been taking Quercetin for a couple months. When my high risk parents got Covid, I gave them 1,000mg of Quercetin with 200mg of bromelain along with an immune boosting daily vit containing 50mg of Zinc, 5,000iu of D, 1000mg of vit C along with elderberry, turmeric, Enchinqcea, and ginger. My dad had a heart attack, diagnosed as prediabetic, and had a stint put in. He started taking these supplements and had symptoms for a day. Little to no symptoms. My mom had mild symptoms as well. I’ve been exposed many times to Covid and I have been fortunate enough to not get the virus that I know of. Thank you for spreading this message as I do believe Quercetin should be prescribed or recommended

A couple of things.. 2. Quercetin is contained in abundance in apples, honey, raspberries, onions, red grapes, cherries, citrus fruits, and green leafy vegetables [2]. Among vegetables and fruits, quercetin content is highest in onions so it's quite easy to get... 2. Vit d in a liquid form seems to be very effective, why not just take a smaller dosage in a liquid form? Why take 10-15k units in capsule/tab form?

Don't know if anyone could answer this, but he mentions in the beginning that the use of Quercetin drops the inflammatory cytokines, increases mitochondria (thus production of more ATP). Now, he doesn't explicitly say that the ionophores found in green tea or turmeric, which both have the effect of helping bring Zinc into the wall of the cells, also act in the same way as Quercetin for the two other above benefits mentioned. Does someone know if Turmeric and Green Tea also have the same effect on cytokines and mitochondria??? Thanks YouTube Community : )

I was thinking the same re aspirin and perhaps having a low dose ready to go should symptoms show up! One would assume the risks of clots increases with severity of symptoms? And as you say, it would be good to know if the clotting issues affect older people more so than younger... As an aside, regarding dosage of vit D, I'm in the UK and they are still persisting in only recommending 400iu (10mcg) per day. Criminal. Like you I'm taking 5000iu on average.

@ooohyesplease I have to do more research. Some paper state it's safe; however, even the label on the K2 bottle suggest to NOT take it if you're on blood thinner. I normally take 5k Vit D everyday, but I might switch it to 3 times a week and just double the dosage. And Vit K2 twice( or maybe once?) a week. On the same day I take Vit D. It's an interesting topic because my cousin (an RN) stated that it's good to take 81mg of aspirin, since most covid patient get blood clot/heart attacks, so they are put on blood thinner. Many doctor/RN are confident that covid coagulate your blood. I haven't decided on how i'm going to incoporate aspirin. Perhaps it only applies to older people, or somewhat like how you suggested, which is IF you get covid or feel symptoms. But, yes, you should cut down on the K2.

For anyone that’s taking vitamin D you should be taking vitamin K2-Mk7 with it, because the D will cause you to have calcium buildup .. Look up on YouTube there’s many good videos for why K2-Mk7 is important .. Or look up what foods that have K2 vitamin, and get that way. And if you’re taking extra calcium you must take the K2-Mk7 vitamin .

Great video...have been behind many of these supplements for up to a decade or more. But the amt of Vitamin D he takes is risky. I can cause problems...as stated...with calcium, etc. Most expert pharmacologists or physicians usually suggest 2000-4000 or maybe 3000-4000 IU's Daily, particularly is you might be older & live up north...as sufficient...it is otherwise a waste of a resource with potential added health risk...everything in moderation is usually an effective rule. Others have concurred that Vitamin D absorption can vary, as he also delves into. So that IS a factor, of course. I take both liquid and pill form.

Be careful taking high amounts of vitamin D. Cuz you also need vitamin K to get the calcium (that vitamin D releases to ur blood) to get in to the bones , and not just circling around in your blood causing health issues. Do the testing and if you can’t , than just take 1000-5000 depending if you’re healthy (with no liver, detoxification issues). I just read that Quercetin over 1000mg can cause kidney issues, so just read and be careful taking the amounts he mentions.

You never take Vit D with calcium rich foods or products cuz calcium blocks the absorption of Vit D. So, take Vit D 2-3 hours after taking your calcium rich foods/supplements. Also, take Vit D with a a fatty food so it’s absorbed even better (salmon, mackerel, cod, tuna, eggs, olive oil, etc).

Big Question HERE! Don't know if anyone could answer this, but he mentions in the beginning that the use of Quercetin drops the inflammatory cytokines, increases mitochondria (thus production of more ATP). Now, he doesn't explicitly say that the ionophores found in green tea or turmeric, which both have the effect of helping bring Zinc into the wall of the cells, also act in the same way as Quercetin for the two other above benefits mentioned. Does someone know if Turmeric and Green Tea also have the same effect on cytokines and mitochondria??? Thanks YouTube Community : )

I was thinking the same re aspirin and perhaps having a low dose ready to go should symptoms show up! One would assume the risks of clots increases with severity of symptoms? And as you say, it would be good to know if the clotting issues affect older people more so than younger... As an aside, regarding dosage of vit D, I'm in the UK and they are still persisting in only recommending 400iu (10mcg) per day. Criminal. Like you I'm taking 5000iu on average.

@ooohyesplease I have to do more research. Some paper state it's safe; however, even the label on the K2 bottle suggest to NOT take it if you're on blood thinner. I normally take 5k Vit D everyday, but I might switch it to 3 times a week and just double the dosage. And Vit K2 twice( or maybe once?) a week. On the same day I take Vit D. It's an interesting topic because my cousin (an RN) stated that it's good to take 81mg of aspirin, since most covid patient get blood clot/heart attacks, so they are put on blood thinner. Many doctor/RN are confident that covid coagulate your blood. I haven't decided on how i'm going to incoporate aspirin. Perhaps it only applies to older people, or somewhat like how you suggested, which is IF you get covid or feel symptoms. But, yes, you should cut down on the K2.

For anyone that’s taking vitamin D you should be taking vitamin K2-Mk7 with it, because the D will cause you to have calcium buildup .. Look up on YouTube there’s many good videos for why K2-Mk7 is important .. Or look up what foods that have K2 vitamin, and get that way. And if you’re taking extra calcium you must take the K2-Mk7 vitamin .

Great video...have been behind many of these supplements for up to a decade or more. But the amt of Vitamin D he takes is risky. I can cause problems...as stated...with calcium, etc. Most expert pharmacologists or physicians usually suggest 2000-4000 or maybe 3000-4000 IU's Daily, particularly is you might be older & live up north...as sufficient...it is otherwise a waste of a resource with potential added health risk...everything in moderation is usually an effective rule. Others have concurred that Vitamin D absorption can vary, as he also delves into. So that IS a factor, of course. I take both liquid and pill form.

Be careful taking high amounts of vitamin D. Cuz you also need vitamin K to get the calcium (that vitamin D releases to ur blood) to get in to the bones , and not just circling around in your blood causing health issues. Do the testing and if you can’t , than just take 1000-5000 depending if you’re healthy (with no liver, detoxification issues). I just read that Quercetin over 1000mg can cause kidney issues, so just read and be careful taking the amounts he mentions.

You never take Vit D with calcium rich foods or products cuz calcium blocks the absorption of Vit D. So, take Vit D 2-3 hours after taking your calcium rich foods/supplements. Also, take Vit D with a a fatty food so it’s absorbed even better (salmon, mackerel, cod, tuna, eggs, olive oil, etc).
